Sun 12 November 2000

match-1
Harpenden 15 v Chinnor 0

Scorers
Charlie Pattison 2
Conor Barry

A great opening game for harpenden against the home side. Charlie pattison scored his first with a wicked attacking drive.
tremendoue pressure and a desire to drive for the line. Conor barry then provided a fantastic weaving run dodging like an eel to score.
Charlie then made a second to seal Chinnors fate. The harps kept the pressure up throughout and the forwards excelled.

Match-2
Harpenden 25 v Oxford Harlequins 0

Scorers
Conor Barry 1
Jamie Hissey 1
Charlie Pattsion 1
Thomas Durkin 2

Conor Barry continued a marvellous day with an opener from a penalty tap n' go weaving over the line. Scrum Half Jamie Hissey
did a patented diving 'Flying' try, Oxford didn't know what to do with him.
Next up was Charlie pattison again then a superb pair of tries from Captain Thomas Durkin.

Match-3
Harpenden 5 v Stratford 0

Scorer
Jmie Hissey

Harpenden's toughest challenge was to beat Stratford last year's festival champions. They did it
in fine form with a try from jamie Hissey from the scrum put-in he ran round to score.
Harpenden's defenders such as Harry Durkin, William Owen, Josh Henderson
Did not let anyone through and the forwards work rate kept the pressure up. The scrum was strong all day.

Match-4
harpenden 0 v Aylesbury 0

Harpenden sniffed a win was in the air and let their guard down against a focussed and strong Aylesbury side.
The two tries to Aylesbury were very well deserved although n the second half harpenden fought hard in defence.

All in all a fabulous days work and the crowning moment was when the team were presented with the cup and medals by
England's Jason leonard who had autograph hunters swarming all over him.

Well done team.
