A titanic struggle between the best two teams on the day saw harpenden narrowly defeated. At half time the score at 5-0 to Fullers belied the efforts of Harpenden who had nearly won a try in the opening minutes only to miss putting the ball down cleanly. Harpenden struggled to defend the position during the 2nd half but were out run by Fullers after a gruelling day of tough matches.
